The Quest

MGM Macau is known for their passion and support in the realms of Arts & Culture. The mission to revitalize Barra District is therefore a perfect opportunity to showcase arts and lifestyle elements that blend seamlessly in a historical destination. We were asked to create a campaign with these key elements: artsy, entertaining, trendy, lifestyle, and educational.

Solution

An extensive research and brainstorming session has brought us the renowned Singaporean artist, Jackson Tan and his creation, Bruno the bear.

Inspired by the Marine museum and heritage at the Barra District, we proposed to collaborate with Jackson and develop a concept with both entertainment and education.

The campaign includes an inflatable playground for the youngsters next to the Barra Kitchen, a gigantic inflatable Bruno Bear at the Barra pond, a submarine showcasing videos for marine education at the Dock area and workshops throughout the period to attract locals to visit during the weekend.

With much appreciation from the community and tourists, the playground has a visitation of over 20,000 guests throughout the period.

We have also invited leaders from MSAR government and the Artist, Jackson Tan from Singapore to be the officiating guest for the opening ceremony. The event also marked the MGM 17th Anniversary in Macau while inviting over 400 guests from the community to the “Poon Choi Banquet”.
